Simplify your IT system landscape

KEYLANE January 5, 2023

Calculating a pension prognosis is traditionally taken care of by the policy administration system. And there are a lot of things these systems are perfectly suited for, but calculating more than one prognosis is not one of them. A prognosis is used to calculate the current state of the customer’s payment expectations when they retire, but it is also used to show the customer multiple what-if scenarios. What happens if I retire two years earlier? How does it look if I put some more money into my pension plan? What is the risk to my investments?

These scenarios, and many more, are the basis for the customer journeys – and the calculations have to be fast. There is a platform that can effortlessly handle this.

The Obex Platform

The Keylane Obex platform has a module tailormade to do prognosis calculations extremely fast – we call it the Projection module.

Projection can calculate based on the industry rules, but it can also be configured to calculate on the specific rules from a pension provider. Some pension providers have replaced their multiple prognosis engines with Keylane Projection. By doing this, the system landscape is simplified and system maintenance is reduced significantly.

As-a-Service

The Obex platform is based on a true service-oriented architecture, which means you can build your own customer journey by using our well-defined APIs.

The platform uses automated scale-up / scale-down of server usage, which allows you to create a prognosis for the entire portfolio, and only pay for what you use.
